Documentary wedding photographer London

Reportage wedding photographers like me try not hard to contrive tacky poses that say nothing real about the couple getting married. But sometimes, contriving an image with some knowing humour can actually communicate something very real about the couple. Georgie and Anthony got married at the Lowing Rowing Club, and hired me as a documentary wedding photographer. But their humour and quirkiness throughout the day was evident that it seemed quite natural to photograph them posing with a couple of oars borrowed from the Rowing Club!

Documentary wedding photography doesn’t have to purely observational. If you observe the personalities, it’s possible to do something creative that still documents or conveys something about the newlywed’s relationship.
